Food and Nutrition Services provides delicious, nutritious food while you are a guest at Methodist. Meals are prepared daily by our chefs in keeping with your doctor’s diet orders.
Our food technicians work with you to design a menu you will enjoy. Registered dieticians may also review your diet to make sure you are getting the best nutrition. They will create care plans and teach you how to improve your nutrition health as needed.

Other Nutrition Services Available Through Individual Counseling or Group Classes Include:
- Controlling your weight
- Making healthy food choices and planning meals
- Decreasing fat, cholesterol, sodium intake
- Nutrition during pregnancy and breast-feeding
- Understanding diets for various diseases
- Choosing supplements to increase calories and/or protein
- Different methods of feeding, such as tube feeding
- Studying fluid needs
- Improving oral intake for patients with swallowing difficulty, chewing problems, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, or bulimia
