Outreach Services

Methodist Outreach Services is an extension of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine that serves the laboratory needs of the Central Illinois Region. Outreach Services provides a wide range of clinical and anatomical testing with fully computerized reporting. Services include all of the necessary disposable phlebotomy supplies, blood tubes, body fluid containers, customized requisition forms, local courier services, pathological consultation, CLIA consultation, and continuing education.

Courier Service

Free courier service is available on a regular basis with an after-hours option in some portions of the service area. Couriers pick up specimens, deliver reports, and provide supplies. To leave a message for the courier, call toll free at (800) 540-8601 or (309) 672-4911.

Supplies

The Methodist Medical Center will provide supplies and containers necessary for the collection and handling of specimens referred through the Outreach Services program. General supplies include all necessary disposable phlebotomy supplies, blood tubes, body fluid containers, customized requisitions, biopsy bottles, cytology supplies, etc. Requisition forms may be obtained through the courier or by calling toll free at (800) 540-8601.
