Benefits of Joining the Methodist Team
At Methodist, we have a Total Compensation Plan approach that includes highly competitive salaries and excellent benefits to meet the needs of our employees and their families. We take a pro-active approach to benefits, surveying our employees to see what is important to them and working with employee-staffed committees to evaluate and upgrade our programs.
The following are highlights of the Methodist benefits program. Not all benefits are available to all employees. For more information, contact Methodist Human Resource Services.
Paid Time Off
A "paid time off" program is provided for all active full-time and active part-time benefited employees. Salaried employees enjoy a generous vacation schedule (15 days/year for 0 through 48 months of employment; 20 days for 49 - 120 months; 25 days for 121 months or more). Methodist recognizes 6 holidays per year and salaried employees are entitled to 5 sick days; 6 months of 100% disability is available for total and continuous disability after 180 days of full-time employment.
Hourly employees enjoy "earned time," combining vacation days, holidays, personal days and sick days into a "bank" that can be taken as you wish after the initial orientation period (with appropriate approval). Employees can accrue up to 24 days/year during the first 36 months of employment; 27 days with 37 - 180 months; 33 days with 181 - 300 months; and 35 days with 301 months or more.
Employees of Methodist Physician Services (MPS) enjoy a "paid time off" program with a bank of days for vacation, personal days and sick days, plus 6 recognized holidays per year. MPS employees can accrue up to 10 days/year during the first 24 months of employment; 15 days with 25 - 60 months; 20 days with 61 - 120 months; and 25 days with 121 months or more.
