Please sign up to donate blood at our next blood drive in the Morron Room at Methodist from 7 am to 4 pm:
Thursday October 16th
The Morron Room is located to the right off of the main hospital lobby. Please call Jeri Doran at 672-5775 to schedule an appointment to donate.
Eligible donors must:
- Be in good health
- Weigh between 110 - 350 pounds
- Be at least 17 years old
- Feel well the day of the donation
- Have vital signs (pulse, temperature & blood pressure) within criteria
- Wait 56 days (8 weeks) between whole blood donations
Donors are eligible to win the following item:
- FREE T-SHIRT to all presenting donors!
Why should I give?
As an employee of Methodist, I also would like to share my personal experience. Back in 1984, when I was 12 yrs. old, my life was saved by a blood donor. My appendix ruptured and I was admitted to the hospital and rushed into surgery. Due to complications during the surgery, I lost so much blood that a transfusion was required to save my life. If it weren't for the many generous blood donors, I would not be alive today! Now, I too am a blood donor and on the giving end, instead of the receiving end. To all of those donors, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
