Methodist College of Nursing is a private specialty college offering a baccalaureate degree in nursing. Fifty-eight (58) credit hours of general education courses are transferred from any regionally accredited college or university. Students complete sixty-four (64) credit hours of the nursing major courses at Methodist College. The College is an operating division of Methodist Medical Center of Illinois and is located in Peoria, Illinois. The College primarily services students from the greater Peoria area and surrounding communities.

The Family Medicine Residency Program was established at Methodist in 1971 and is now a joint program with the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria . The Family Medicine Residency Program continues to be one of the most successful, with our graduates achieving a 96% success rate on the Board examination for certification. Methodist houses the Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine of the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria . This fellowship is a one-year ACGME accredited training program open to graduates of accredited residencies in family medicine and internal medicine. Come explore the specialty of geriatric medicine; providing comprehensive, quality healthcare services to one of the fastest growing populations in our country.

Methodist Community Training Center is a partnership between Methodist and the American Heart Association. We're centered on saving lives by training individuals in Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). For course descriptions and schedules for BLS/CPR and ACLS courses for healthcare professionals and others whose jobs require that they respond in an emergency, go to the Calendar of Events.
Instructors from the Community Training Center are also available to teach:
- Friends & Family CPR (simple CPR for general public/no certification)
- Heartsaver CPR (CPR for general public/includes certification )
- Heartsaver AED CPR (includes AED training)
- First Aid classes at schools, churches and other organizations

Critical care classes for healthcare professionals are available through the Center for Innovation & Clinical Advancement. CICA implements and integrates information systems, technology, and education into daily practice.
